When we change the way we breathe, we change the way we think and feel.
After more than 20 years teaching I’m taking a break. I’m going to focus on Lovegrove Essentials and our training programme for complementary therapists. I’ll be back with some workshops later in the year, when I’m permitted to get my hands on you again. After all, who doesn’t ❤️ an adjustment?
In collaboration with Yogamatters, Rachel & I produced a series of articles on how to use the props to help your practice. Have a look at our blogs HERE.
If you have had Covid-19, you may be suffering a range of longer-term effects. The Iyengar Yoga Therapy Committee produced a Covid Recovery Booklet. (If you’re a yoga nerd like me, it’s a really good read. I loved the workshop!)
It’s a lot to take in so as you look through the brochure, read each of the green Notes sections – they give important points for the approach necessary to prevent further damage, and to support the healing process. In fact, they are important aspects of Iyengar Yoga therapy generally.
After any illness or injury, it’s not until we try something that we used to be able to do easily that we know where our starting point is and what we are able to do, so here is a four-pose sequence to get you going: Simple Covid Sequence.
